Internet Banking

Feel sad today coz I cant access my internet banking service (ibs) since last week. I sent them email about this but no reply so far...it's really bad when u're in need. I'm so used to ibs to the extent that I cant think of doing banking manually again.. This particular bank has made me down for several times now. I cant stand it anymore. I may switch bank in a few days if the bank does not response any soon. Grrrrrrrrgrrrrr.....

Poco-Poco to keep fit

You may not believe that all of the ladies are aged above 35 but they're healthy and fit to do tough task such as climbing Mt Kinabalu. Their secret.....poco-poco at least 3 times a week!

Still swing and dance gracefully under the 9 am hot sun! The dance instructor was a little girl aged 6...she knew all the poco-poco steps better than most of the older ladies..hehe

The warming session waiting for the music to start. The morning exercise was held in conjuntion with the village's harvest festival. The lady in stripe shirt should go for the poco-poco training more frequent...dont u think so?

Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival is celebrated by all Dusun Kadazan (KDM) ethnic throughout May every year. But some are still celebrating that festival till mid June. The festival is held to commemorate the sacrifice of Hominodun ( the daughter of Kinorohingan) to provide meals for the people when there was a long dry season . Her body was chopped into several pieces and each piece sprouted into one type of food crops such as paddy, corn, tapioca, potato and wheat.

One of the events was Magagung Competition. Here are some of the participant during presentation of their gong rendition. The competition aimed at nurturing the talent of the younger generation to perform traditional music as well as knowing more about the music.

Ethnic Music

We are going to celebrate our very own Kaamatan Festival this weekend June 13th. My family has formed a 'magagung' team to participate in the festival. All players are kids aged 10-17 and the instructor/conductor is a 66 yr old veteran (our neighbour). Lets hear the music which was taken during the practice:-

The two girls were dancing the 'sumazau'.
