Winning by Losing

There is a saying that states sometimes a battle can be won by losing it. How true is that statement is depend on how a person perceives it. To me, a loser never wins. These are songs dedicated by a an american soldier when his troop lost the last battle he had:

"No Reason to Exist"

Lost
When the storm hits, you will leave this
Awake
Time will pass through, and break you

Broken, or so you say
Nobody bought that fable anyway
So calloused, and so naïve
To wear a heart of fiction on your sleeve

Bury every sign of life in filth and hollow trend
And push against progression on the path of logic’s end
Like tears flowing upward

Lost, an aimless soul
When the storm hits, you will leave this
Awake to wasted days
Time will pass through, and break you

This wreckage you’ll never be
If you were raised in Hell you’d own the sea
Don’t tell me it’s not your choice
You sold a blessed future for some noise

Bury every sign of life in filth and hollow trend
And push against progression on the path of logic’s end
Like tears flowing upward

Lost, an aimless soul
When the storm hits, you will leave this
Awake to wasted days
Time will pass through, and break you

With every waking second you front, another real life loses ground
Ten thousand arms outstretched and you have the nerve to strike them all
No reason to coexist?
No reason to exist

"Fading Away"

It's in this wake that I find myself
Losing the will to resume this hell
When every breath is a dying wish
It's harder to follow the point of this

This broken place that I call my home
Is deep in the sorrow that I have sewn
And i can't erase what is in my heart
I wanted to finish before it starts

My own solution in discretion again
Our false solution is devoured in dread
Our own solution giving rein to it's head?
and open my face to the darkened sky

I've been fading away
I've been waiting for a call to reach my veins
Ready or not
No attention to waist
Every sorrow of the soul will reap my name
When I cease to exist

Now I've come to a final sleep
I pray that forgiveness is mine to keep
I know it's hard to forgive this man
Driving the failure into your hands

When I cease to exist

My dept is going to be audited tomorrow. I hope it won't be fault finding sessions. It will create tensions for most  people because you wouldn't know what non compliance that going to be raised against you. I just hope I only get OFI instead of minor NCR.

Meaningful Quotes

At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.

Barbara Bush

Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with glory.

Betty Smith

When you see a man of worth, think of how you may emulate him. When you see one who is unworthy, examine yourself.

Confucius

Nothing is predestined: The obstacles of your past can become the gateways that lead to new beginnings.
Ralph Blum

To be able to give away riches is mandatory if you wish to possess them. This is the only way that you will be truly rich.”
Muhammad Ali

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Groucho Marx

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost.

There is only one person who could ever make you happy, and that person is you.
David Burns, Intimate Connections

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions—the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss, a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment in the disguise of a playful raillery, and the countless other infinitessimals of pleasurable thought and genial feeling.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Who is the happiest of men? He who values the merits of others, and in their pleasure takes joy, even as though it were his own.

Birthday Wish

Counting The Blessings Instead of Digits

Birthday Blessings

Instead of counting candles,
Or tallying the years,
Contemplate your blessings now,
As your birthday nears.

Consider special people
Who love you, and who care,
And others who’ve enriched your life
Just by being there.

Think about the memories
Passing years can never mar,
Experiences great and small
That have made you who you are.

Another year is a happy gift,
So cut your cake, and say,
"Instead of counting birthdays,
I count blessings every day!"

By Joanna Fuchs

Sign of Falling

When two person in conflict, they're always other people trying to interfere and this gets the conflict worsen. Unresolved arguments are most probably the main cause for this. It's really bad because it is a sign of falling from different perspectives. If u're a politician - it shows that your leadership and credibility is being challenged. If u're the husband/wife - trust and honesty is questionable.Unresolved conflict leads to falling apart or worst it becomes a lifetime burden.

This is what happen when God is being sidelined or forgotten.

Major Catastrophe

It's been very hot lately and my nose is running again. Nature is raging around sinking Padang and ravaging Manila.

It was predicted in Feb this year that Padang could bedestroyed if huge earthquake happens. Haven't the respective authorities do anything to protect their people against such catastrophe? Only God knows...

If I'm not mistaken the same flood ravaging Manila every year. Now it is caused by Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana).

In both cases, it is a sign of global warming and complete disregard of environment.

I have found a site that sells all of them below RM3k for all but quite unsure whether it is a trusted site or not. The price quoted seems to be too good to be true.
